Aldo Disorbo Defeats Autism

Aldo Disorbo - Quits School
At the age of 14, Aldo's only interest was in foreign languages. He learned very slow to read, and he had a "messy writing" as his teacher recalls. He wasn't interested in sciences and he failed most of the classes.

Aldo diSorbo decided to drop school. "It was the first decision that he made on his own and he seemed so confident about it. We didn't say no. All the family got together and decided that he can drop out of school."

He got admitted into college after he met some language professors at a casual event and impressed them with his knowledge. But again, college was too "formal for him" states Jane diSorbo.

Right after college his started working as a translator for a famous editor. In one of his trips to Europe, he met Paulo Coelho. Aldo made a bet with him, that he could translated all of his books in less than two months, which he did.
